Swim 1:1 Technique Analysis


A 1:1 session is completely customised to you and your ability, and the areas you need to work on.


After you have booked a session, we will need a little info about your history of swimming and your aims for your swimming

On the day of the session, we will firstly have a short chat to find out a little more, and then we will do a quick mobility assessment.

After that, we proceed with a short warm-up that you would normally do and some swimming. During which time we will take a few short clips of video for comparison in the future.

Off the back of that, we can begin to look at the key areas for your stroke improvement. These will vary for everyone, and this is where it begins to become specific for you.

During the session, we will look at areas of your swimming such as:

  • Breathing
  • Kick
  • Core control
  • Body position
  • Rotation
  • Timing
  • Alignment
  • Catch
  • Pace change
  • Turnover
  • Sighting (if relevant)


We will unlikely be able to cover all of that in a 2hr session, so we will be focussing upon the areas that are most significant for you.

If your body position is poor, we will be working on aspects that will improve this.  If it’s good, but you are not rotating and your alignment is off, then we will be focussing our attention on addressing these issues.


When you purchase a product from us, you will be invited to create an account. This partly saves time when purchasing other products, but more importantly creates a ‘members area’ for you. We will provide your feedback here, so you always have an easy means of finding it.

During the session, we will use verbal and demonstrations to help you understand how to perform exercises or actions.

We will also use video clips, via a phone app or the underwater camera to demonstrate to you what you are doing and therefore help you to understand what we want to try and achieve.

After the session, we will compile the clips and create a summary video report of the before and after, and the key issues areas we need to work on.

The video is uploaded to an unlisted YouTube link and you can view this at any time.

We also have a custom app for reporting a metric score of how you are performing in the key areas so that on repeat occasions we can monitor the progress.

You will have access to our video library of drills with tips on the execution of the drills and how they work your full stroke.

We can also provide some sample training sessions, to work on the key areas that have been identified from your session.


The majority of our 1:1 Swim sessions occur at Loughborough University Swimming Pool, Epinal Way, Loughborough, LE11 3TU


As each appointment is dependant upon the pool being available you have two options.

Option 1

Book a session pay and complete the questionnaires etc.  You will receive a confirmation email and a link to drop us a message. Here you can let us know when you would like to come and book in, and we can check availability with the pool and book it in for you. Its best to provide a few dates, times of when might be feasible.

This option is best if you are fairly flexible, or buying as a present/surprise for someone else.

Option 2

Hit the ENQUIRE NOW button below and send us a message with when you would like to come, we can check and get back to you with some options. We agree on a date/time and we will send you a link to the shop to buy the session, based upon that time and date.
